Being grateful and practicing gratitude can be very different things. For example, I'm grateful for Netflix, wine, and not receiving any work emails before 9 AM. But to properly practice gratitude, one must do it with intent. It could be anything big or small, silly or serious -- as long as you're consistent.  

The more committed you are to practicing gratitude, the more your brain picks up on the beautiful little things all around us. It changes your brain chemistry and literally makes you think happier thoughts. If that's not a cheat code, I don't know what is!
